1.Providing/Donating Snacks:
Our camp runs from Mar 25-28 --- 4 days. We are hoping to have all of the snacks donated and provided for by volunteers for each day. Each day we will need approximately snacks provided for 40 people. They will need to be peanut free, along with some gluten free options.
These snacks can be dropped off at the church office before the camp, or the day off. Please contact Emily (office@crossroadscommunity.ca ) for more instructions.
2. Group Leaders:
Our kids camp will meet together at the beginning of the morning as a group, but after our time together, the kids will be separated into age appropriate groups as they go through different stations. We are looking for volunteer staff who can help lead and guide different groups. You will be in charge of helping direct and care for your group as you go through your stations. Our preference is that you are able to volunteer for all 4 days of the camp to help build relationships etc. with the kids, but can accommodate your schedule depending on availability. The camp runs from 9am-12pm. Group leaders need to be on-site at 8:45am every morning and leave after kids have all gone home.
3. Craft Preparation and Room Decoration Set Up Help:
Our hope is to transform the Vedder Middle School multi-purpose room into a star wars themed environment! This requires help in making decorations and designing that space. As well, we will need help preparing all of the crafts necessary for the week. The time and date commitments for these positions are flexible and can be figured out.
4. Tech Positions:
A key position or positions in making the camp runs effectively is having someone who can run the tech during the camp. The camp will be playing lots of videos and running power point slides etc. We will need tech help everyday to make this camp experience awesome for our kids. All of the necessary training and equipment will be provided. This position requires the person to be present during the entire morning of the camp.
